South Korea vs Portugal live streaming: The already-qualified Portugal will face South Korea on Friday at the 2022 World Cup in an attempt to finish at the top of Group H.
Despite only needing a single point to ensure their place at the top of the section, Fernando Santos’s side is still well placed to progress to the round of 16 since they need to lose to the European nation.
After two goals behind, Paulo Bento’s team leveled the scores at 2-2 at Education City Stadium just past the hour, but Mohammed Kudus’ second goal of the match secured all three points for Ghana, which puts them in the driving seat for joining Portugal in the round of 16.
On one point, South Korea is third in its section, but they still have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition, which is still some distance away. In fact, Bento’s team will have to overcome Portugal to have any chance of moving on to the next round; if they are able to do that and Uruguay beat Ghana, then only goal difference would separate the two teams.

Last year, the Tigers of Asia made the knockout round for the first time in their history. Their two previous World Cups ended in group stages.
As strong as their opposition is, they have no choice but to make it through this section, but they are still in contention at this point, and Portugal’s qualification might go in their favor on Friday.
A win or a draw in this match would guarantee Portugal first place in the group, regardless of if they already secured their spot in the knockout stage of the competition. Their progress to the next round of the competition has already been confirmed.
A 3-2 win over Ghana opened Santos’s side’s World Cup campaign, with Cristiano Ronaldo becoming the first men’s player to score in five World Cups.
In the second match of the group stage on Monday, Portugal beat Uruguay 2-0 to secure their place in the last-16 stage of the tournament, with Bruno Fernandes scoring twice for the European nation in the victory. There is still a chance for the team to qualify for the final round of the competition, as it sits top of the section, three points ahead of Ghana, who are also in pole position for qualification.
There has been no further progress for the Selecao since the 1966 World Cup, when they finished third and fourth at the 2006 World Cup, and two of their last three tournaments ended in the first round of knockouts, while they did not even make it past the round of 16 in 2014, as they did not make it out of the group in the first place.
In spite of not being considered one of the favourites going into the tournament, Portugal have impressed in their first two matches and will surely be looking for a strong finish against South Korea.
Despite South Korea’s success in the tournament, a hamstring injury has prevented the forward from playing for the team yet this season, and his participation in the match on Friday remains in doubt.
Bento’s team will again play Son Heung-min for the first time since his 107th national team appearance, while Napoli’s Kim Min-jae will take up central defence duties.
Cho Gue-sung scored twice in the last fixture against Ghana, and he will again head the South Korean line, with Kwon Chang-hoon expected to continue to play wide for the team.
A place should also be set aside for Hwang In-beom in the middle of the park. Nuno Mendes has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament for Portugal after being substituted in the latter stages of the first half against Uruguay.
Danilo and Otavio are both out with fractured ribs, and Danilo was forced to miss the game against Uruguay last time out for similar reasons.
In Mendes’ absence, Raphael Guerreiro should return in place of Mendes at left-back, however Cristiano Ronaldo should be rated as 50/50 for the match as he failed to train on Wednesday.
In the coming match, Santos said he would make changes, potentially starting Diogo Dalot, Joao Palhinha, and Goncalo Ramos.
The list includes Moon-hwan, Min-jae, Young-gwon, Jin-su; Woo-young, In-beom; Chang-hoon, Woo-yeong, Heung-min; Ge sung.,
Costa; Ronaldo, Dalot, Pepe, Dias, Guerreiro; Bernardo, Neves, Palhinha; Fernandes; Ramos,
