The Canadian actress and author Nicole Evangeline Lilly was born on 3 August 1979. There have been no less than ten nominations for 10 Teen Choice Awards for her, including a Golden Globe Award and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award. She has also won a Screen Actors Guild Award and a MTV Movie Award.
In 2004, she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Kate Austen in the ABC series Lost (2004–2010), for which she won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Following her role in The Hurt Locker (2008), she appeared in Real Steel (2011), an Academy Award-winning science fiction film. Besides her children’s books, Lilly also writes a series called The Squickerwonkers (2013-Present).
