Eligibility:

  1. The benefit of the maternity and child scheme is applicable only for the first two deliveries of the worker.
  2. Maternity benefit is granted for institutional deliveries of female laborers.
  3. The Girl Child Help Scheme benefits apply to the first and second girl child, and also to legally adopted girl children in childless couples.

  3. Female laborers will receive an amount equivalent to 6 weeks’ minimum wage in case of abortion and 2 weeks’ minimum wage in case of sterilization.
