Early life

Adkins was born on 17 June 1976 into a family of butchers in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England. At the age of ten, he visited a local Judo club with his father and older brother and became interested in martial arts. At age 13, he was robbed, which further sparked his interest in martial arts. During the same year, he began practicing Taekwondo.
